New Media Artist Talk: Christopher Baker

Christopher Baker's artifacts and situations engage social, technological
and ideological networks present in the urban landscape.

Christopher¹s work has been presented in festivals, galleries and museums in
the US including The Soap Factory (Minneapolis), The Minnesota Museum of
American Artists (Minneapolis), Franklin Artworks (Minneapolis), and the
Visual Studies Workshop (Rochester, NY), and internationally in venues
including, Laboral (Gijon, Spain), Museum of Communication (Bern,
Switzerland), Gallery@ (Barnsley, UK), the Pixelache Festival (Helsinki,
Finland), as well as venues in Budapest, Hungary, Copenhagen, Denmark, and
Toronto, Canada. Christopher¹s work was recently published in ID Magazine
and the critically acclaimed book Data Flow: Visualising Information in
Graphic Design. In late 2009, he concluded a yearlong artist residency at
Kitchen Budapest, an experimental media lab in Hungary. He is currently a
visiting artist at Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
